Common questions,
honest answers.

Can't find what you're looking for? Call the office on 01903 771 949, or 07835 903 856 any time for emergencies.

Yes. Our 24-hour emergency callout line is 07835 903 856. It's open to every customer, contract or not, day and night, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays. For anything non-urgent, call the office on 01903 771 949, Monday to Friday, 8am–5:30pm. If there's a fire, get everyone out and call 999 first.

Very likely. We cover the South Coast from Portsmouth to Eastbourne (PO and BN postcodes), inland across West Sussex, Mid Sussex and Surrey, including Horsham, Crawley, Reigate and Guildford (RH and GU postcodes), and up into South London (CR, SM and BR). Use the postcode checker on our coverage page, or just give us a call.

On our home patch along the West Sussex coast we can usually be with you the same day, and we're quick anywhere on our regular runs from Portsmouth to Eastbourne. Maintenance contract customers are prioritised, and our 24-hour line (07835 903 856) is open to everyone.

BS 5839-1 recommends that fire alarm systems in non-domestic premises are inspected and serviced by a competent person at least every six months. We usually schedule six-monthly visits as standard, and we'll remind you when they're due.

If you're the Responsible Person for almost any non-domestic premises (a business, or the shared parts of a block of flats or an HMO), then yes. The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires a suitable and sufficient fire risk assessment that's kept under review, and since October 2023 it must be recorded in writing in full.

Yes. We service all major makes, including Apollo, Hochiki, Advanced, Kentec, Morley and Gent. Plenty of our customers first came to us this way.

No. If your existing system is fit for purpose, we'll tell you. We'd much rather look after you for years than make a one-off sale, so there's no reason for us to push work you don't need.

It depends on the size of the building, the category of system needed, the cabling and the panel you choose. We'll do a free site survey and give you a fixed written quote, not a vague estimate.

Yes. We fit mains-powered, interlinked smoke and heat alarms in homes (Grade D1 and D2), and Grade A systems for HMOs and larger rented properties. See our Domestic & HMO page.

Very rarely. Your survey, installation and servicing are carried out by our own engineers. If we ever need a specialist for part of a job, we'll tell you first and stay responsible for the work.

Yes. As well as working directly for building owners, landlords and homeowners, we install, commission, certify and service fire alarm systems as a subcontractor for main contractors, electricians and M&E firms. Tell us about your project.
